Making Plans For Myself This Weekend
My wife Linda is out of town this weekend visiting her sister Amy who just bought her first house. I guess she was waiting and waiting to buy it because she wanted to that with a husband but she got tired of waiting for the right man to come along. I feel sort of bad for her in that regard as she is a really nice person and deserves to be happy but for whatever reason she has terrible luck with men. I even tried to hook her up with one of my friends when she lived here but that obviously didn’t work out either. My wife is going to be gone through Monday so I basically have the run of the place along with our dog Skippy. I thought she might take him with her as he is a Momma’s dog but she decided against it for whatever reason (I didn’t ask).
I don’t know what I am going to do with myself but I do know that I am not going to be sitting in front of this computer all day long. I am just writing this now because I was bored and I just finished reading about VPNs and I didn’t know what else to do. Plus I just put a pot of coffee on and am waiting for that to brew. Since she isn’t home I can make it extra strong like I like it. She likes to add a bunch of cream and sugar to her coffee while I like it black and the stronger the better. I keep saying that we need to buy two machines but never get around to doing it. My birthday is coming up next month so maybe I’ll tell her to get me one.
The only thing that I can think of to do is going somewhere to watch the game later. I’ll have to call some of my friends to see if any of them are interested in watching it. I thought about having people over here to watch it but I don’t feel like dealing with all of that. All of that would mean the mess that I would no doubt have to clean up. Worst case scenario I’ll just go down to the local watering hole by myself and watch it as I am bound to know somebody there. Plus I can walk there which is always a good thing especially in this kind of weather that we have been having lately.
